Sunil David has 28 years of experience in the IT and Telecom industry and is currently the Regional Director ( IOT ) for AT&T India and is based in Chennai. He is responsible for building the IOT strategy for the India and the ASEAN regions and working with various internal stakeholders to ensure successful execution. He is also working on building a robust partner ecosystem for AT&T in the entire IOT value chain and also working on a number of Marketing initiatives to help enhance the AT&T brand in the IOT space. In addition , Sunil also handles a team responsible to position AT&T’s core Connectivity, Cloud Enablement , Collaboration and Security services to a few Global MNC’s and large Indian System Integrators.
Sunil is extremely passionate about Technology and strongly advocates its use for Enterprises, Consumers and Society at Large given its positive impact . He also mentors a number of young men and women Technology professionals as well as students wanting to carve out a career in the Technology space especially as it relates to Digital Technologies like IOT, AI etc.
Sunil is recognized as a thought leader in the IOT space . He is associated with a number of Industry bodies like CII, NASSCOM, IET etc where Sunil shares his thought leadership in the area of Emerging Digital technologies like IOT, AI ,Cyber security, 5G etc. He has spoken at more than 150 industry forums over the last 4 years on multiple topics related to Digital Transformation , AI, IOT, Cyber Security, Diversity and Inclusion, Leadership etc. He has also addressed students from prestigious institutes like IIM Bangalore, IIM Sirmaur, IIM Jammu, ISB Hyderabad, Amity University, MAHSA Malaysian International University etc covering a wide range of topics – IOT, Digital Supply Chain Management, Using Digital Tech solutions for managing Sustainability, 5G for Business etc. Sunil has also authored a number of articles related to Industry 4.0, IOT Security, Future of IOT, 5G, Digital transformation etc.
He is winner of a number of awards including Six that were bestowed in 2021 from various Industry bodies and media conglomerates in recognition for his work in Digital Technology advocacy , Start up -Corporate Connect , Contributing inputs to Govt of India through Industry bodies to shape IOT policy that can drive IOT adoption in India , Working with Academia to frame Industry oriented curriculum in the areas of IOT, Digital Communication Cloud etc and Digital skilling initiatives for Women technology leaders
