Mr. Sarthak Ahuja was 15 when he learnt about entrepreneurship for the first time. He used to sign-up for random events happening across the city as he was keen to gain knowledge from wherever he could. One such event at IIT Delhi changed his life. That was when doing something unusual in life came to his mind. So many young entrepreneurs exchanging ideas, pitching their startups to VC’s and so on, it was one of an experience for him.
He still wasn’t sure what exactly he should go for. And then once in high school, he got the opportunity to organize a party of some 30 students at a nearby cafe. He grabbed the opportunity without a second thought and was thrilled. The process was fun for him and he received appreciation along with the small profit.
Since then, he went on to organize several parties for his batchmates. He was 16 when he decided to take a leap forward and launch Khatirdaari Group. He organized a huge masquerade party on the occasion of NYE 2017 as the flagship event of his company.
Unfortunately, things didn’t go as planned and that masquerade was a flop. He lost all his savings; the guests were unhappy and a brawl with the partners. For him, that was the biggest blow of all time and was shattered by the result.
But he didn’t give up. He reached out to some people and got a chance to work at the biggest food festival of the city. He was honest and good at his work because of which he got promoted to the managerial level of the same food festival, ‘Horn Ok Please’ in the next edition.
Khatirdaari Group was also growing side by side and he was having a good time with his private clients as well. He was getting marketing collaborations, private ceremonies and numerous public festivals. Since then, he has gone through a lot of ups and downs. He has gone through financial losses, mental stress and even emotional imbalance but he feels that everything is worth it when you see your clients happy and satisfied. That is what keeps him going.
Today, Khatirdaari Group has diversified its base from private parties to Public Festivals, Intimate Weddings, corporate meetups and vendor management in a period of 4 years and is reaching new heights.
