Ravi Singh in his professional career spanning over 25 years’ has built a name for his ability to turn around businesses, operations into sustainable profitable businesses. As head of Operations at Western Union, he took Western Union India from less than 40,000 agents’ network to over 100,000 in less than 3 years & established Western Union India as the largest agent network globally in the remittance world. Prior to this, he turn-around the loss making Promotional Market business at 3M into a profitable business unit in less than 12 months & most recently, as Chief Business Officer at ItzCash, led the exponential growth of ItzCash Cards from less than $400k GMV to over $ 2 billion, established ItzCash as the largest issuer of open loop prepaid cards & amongst the top 3 Domestic Remittance companies. And in the process, turned ItzCash into the only profitable PPI (prepaid payments issuer) companies.
This eventually paved the path for acquisition by Ebix, a Nasdaq listed company as the right platform to establish the largest financial exchange platform in India. Post-acquisition, Ravi was elevated to the position of Managing Director. As Head of Merchant Acquiring business at Fiserv, he led the ICICI Merchant Services, JV with ICICI Bank & ran the most profitable merchant acquiring company in country. He has been recognized & awarded for his product innovations in the payments industry with solutions that have revolutionized the way consumers pay & merchants accept the payments & this was recognized when Fiserv was awarded the most innovative payments solution award for Digital Payments acceptance at Payments & Cards Summit, 2019.
Ravi has rich and qualitative experience in Business Vision & Leadership, Building Organizations, Strategic Sales & Marketing, New Business Development & Growth, Mergers & Acquisitions, besides others & has built a strong reputation as subject matter expert in payments space. He has been invited as guest speakers or panelists at multiple industry platforms including ET Now & CNBC Awaaz.
He currently lives in Mumbai with his wife, Sudha with whom he has been married for 21 years. His son is pursuing undergraduate study in Molecular & Cell Biology at University of York, United Kingdom.
