Having spent most of his career in the consulting industry, Muzammil, along with Acies’ co-founders realized that true tangible success for any large transformation initiative in the financial services space, or any industry, can only be undertaken if an enterprise partners with those firms that not just ideate with them but also work shoulder to shoulder with them to deliver on the promises of technology.
Driven by this belief, Muzammil and his colleagues setup Acies – with the philosophy of outcome orientation and tangible results at an industry-wide scale. One of the defining businesses of Acies has been the TechWorks business – where Acies focuses on using industry knowledge and technology skills to not just build next-generation risk and regulatory applications, but also provide a platform for anyone to build the application of their choice without the need for coding. Today, Acies TechWorks applications are used by established and new-age financial institutions in India and across the world.
Muzammil was also key to driving the industry-level adoption of interest rate risk management by insurance companies – using a collaborative effort involving various participants in the industry. This was globally recognized and Acies was awarded the Risk Management Consultant of the Year by a leading Asia-Pacific publication in the financial risk management space.
