Mohit entered the business world when he was just 19 years old. He joined his family business, which today is one of the most prestigious organizations in Rajasthan – the Shubhashish Group. The Group was established in 1983, extending its wings over various verticals such as Wealth Management, Logistics, Packaging and Warehousing, IT Services and Real Estate. After completing his graduation in Architecture from Malviya National Institute of Technology, Jaipur, Mohit learned the essentials of business and economics at the University of Oxford, Oxford. Today, he is the Executive Director and CEO of the Group. Mohit is also an esteemed member of the Executive Committee of Young Indians (CII Rajasthan) and is the Co-Chairperson of its Ease of doing Business Vertical, CREDAI Rajasthan, and TIE.

Learning business under the guidance of his father and growing it to the pinnacle with his own innovativeness and determination has been his mission. In 2020, Mohit established his real estate startup by the name of Shubhashish Homes and launched his first big project Shubhashish Geeta. The group was familiar with real estate development but had never witnessed this big a growth in its size and sale. Mohit’s plan for Shubhashish Homes streamlined the Group’s business from unorganized to organized.

For him, launching his own real estate development start up is not just a way to make his mark in the industry but to also leave a positive impact in the world. The driving force behind this business was his father’s dream to educate every possible child who is deprived of the basic right to education. His father runs an NGO named Jagriti which adopts government schools in Jaipur to educate and support the underprivileged children. It is Mohit’s resolution to self-sponsor the education of such children without additional aid. Mohit is determined to turn his vision, of being able to fund Jagriti solely by Shubhashish Homes, into reality.

Mohit is a firm believer that the future of India lies in uplifting the education sector and providing employment. Real estate is a business which generates abundant employment. Through his real estate business, he aims to not only fund Jagriti and provide education but also generate mass employment.

Another reason why Mohit launched this start-up was to introduce an environment friendly mid segment housing for people. After understanding the economic and environmental situation in India, it was clear that the demand for housing for mid-income group is high and if such housing continue to be created for them in large numbers without being nature friendly, it will ultimately be a great threat to all of us.

He understands that to buy a house one spends his precious life savings and hence he/she must get the value for it. By creating a world which is nature-friendly, spacious, affordable yet luxurious he wishes to fulfil the dream of having a home for his clients. Shubhashish Homes abides by its core values of spreading happiness, being positive, putting ethics first, promoting innovation, and being nature friendly. What is unique about Shubhashish Homes is that it is not just a real estate development company but also a Construction, Sales and Maintenance company, unlike most organizations in the business.

The project – Shubhashish Geeta has become the talk of the town because of the thoughtful leadership and vision of Shubhashish Homes and Mohit. It is a group housing project, spread over 9 acres equipped with modern amenities. It is the one of the first project to have nature friendly services such as:

  • The highest per acre Water Harvesting Pits in North India to recharge water in the most natural way
  • 75% Open Area (one of the highest open area in a Mixed Development Housing of Villas & Apartments in North India)
  • 21000+ Trees & Plants (one of the highest per Acre Density of Plantation in Rajasthan)
  • Electric Car Charging Points for all car Parking in the township, i.e. of 450+ Cars (the load calculation has been made that all cars can be charged at one time)
  • Pre-Paid Smart Water Meters (one of the only townships in Northern India to use these meters in all of the completed as well as planned houses, once 100% occupancy is achieved, these can help trim down the water consumption of the township by up to 50%)
  • Use of STP treated water for Flushing & Plantation
  • Use of AC waste water for Plantation.

The people have shown their trust in Shubhashish Homes and bought the nature friendly resort lifestyle offered at Shubhashish Geeta. In their 1st year of operation the start-up has rose from a revenue of zero to INR 40 Crores (the value of houses sold), by selling a total of area of 1 lakh 30 thousand sq. ft. The Company is targeting 100% Year on year growth in the financial year 20-21, i.e. by selling a total area of 2 lakh 50 thousand sq. ft.

The 5 Year Goal of the Company is to make an annual sale of 150 Crores on 5 lakh sq. ft. of area. The Company is all set to grow and flourish in other parts of India as well. Mohit envisions to create standardized Nature friendly mid segment housing across the country.
