Mr. Mohan Krishna Chowdry, a young ardent learner and explorer from Tamil Nadu has already started working to make this statement true. Filled with inquisitiveness, he is one among the few people who keep the fire to master new things alive. His passion towards agriculture is evident from his line of work and volunteerism since the start of his B.Sc., (Hons.) Agriculture study program in Agricultural College and Research Institute, Thiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University.
He has been showcasing his versatility by playing multiple roles like Editorial Advisor (AgriGate Magazine), Associate Editor (Agri Mirror: Future India Magazine), Assistant Editor (Just Agriculture e-Newsletter), Reviewer (Acta Scientific Agriculture Journal) and also has authored and co-authored in papers. His mantra lies in frequently updating himself through workshops, conferences and webinar series.
He has hands on experience in research through work experience in various institutions like Elshio Agritech, Kovise Foundation Chamber of Agriculture, Dineight Agritech and Farmitopia. To boost up his social morale, he has been serving as a volunteer in Uliyin Uruvam Trust, Erode and Abdul Kalam Trust for Future Vision, Cuddalore. He has made himself deserving to lead the youth and now serves as the Vice President (South Zone) of All India Agricultural Students Association (AIASA).
No wonder that he was awarded the National Award “AAWAHAN 2020” for his outstanding role in institutional strengthening of AIASA. Being one of the responsible youths tapping in skills to combat climate change, he was bestowed the ‘National Best Oral Presentation Award 2020’ for his presentation on climate smart technologies for paddy stubble burning.
“Stimulus is required even if the flame is extinguished.” Of course, Mr. Mohan’s few friends, seniors and teachers believed and motivated whenever the flame in him dimmed.
Being responsible, hard-working, enthusiastic, confident, goal-driven and what not? He is undoubtedly a youth icon who can drive astounding developments in agriculture and a futuristic climate warrior.
