Kaushik Kale, after finishing BE Machine Tools Engineering, completed his MBA from NMIMS in Business Administration. He is a 3rd generation entrepreneur with proficiency in mechanical designing, manufacturing of machines, electronics programming & software programming in 8 different languages. His journey as an entrepreneur started with his father in the field of manufacturing special purpose machines and automation solutions.
Kaushik’s focus had always been on developing a product range and concentrate on products rather than customized machines. Having inspired by Robert Kiyosaki’s Cash Flow Quadrants, his goal is to take himself to the B quadrant rather than being in the S quadrant.
While making automation solutions for a French Marking Machine Company’s Indian customer, he gained an in-depth knowledge of the machine working. The setback came when the French company changed its policies and dumped all their solution partners.
Kaushik, determined and inspired to find a way through, set along with his team upon the task of ‘Indigenous development of the CNC technology’ that was required to make these machines in India. They made the first marking machine in 2005 and have never looked back since then.
Innovation, constant improvement in products and strategic placement of products has been the key factors contributing to the growth of the company. Despite the fundamental challenge to compete with Chinese manufacturers on the global stage, his products stood out amongst all European and American competitors harnessing the power of innovation and creation of world class products on mass production levels to bring down the costs significantly.
Today, the MNSB-53, battery operated hand held marking machine is the only product weighing just 2.5kg in the whole world. This product, launched in 2018 at Hanover Fair in Germany has helped the company expand its distribution in many European countries as well as American continent.
Kaushik intends to take the company across all 7 continents, in at least 50+ countries either with Markstamp’s own offices or through its distribution network. He looks forward to setting up offices and manufacturing hubs in USA and Europe in the immediate future to help serve his customers and distributors in a much faster manner, thus leading India in global markets in the field of Marking and Traceability.
