Hitesh has worked in India, Bangladesh, Japan, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Nepal, Oman, Sri Lanka, UAE and Vietnam. In India, Hitesh has been the trusted advisor to the governments, regulators and utilities in 18 states. Hitesh has also advised ADB, World Bank, IFC, DFID, MCC, AFD and JICA on several sector transformation programmes. So far, Hitesh has successfully delivered 100+ advisory engagements across power sector value chain and made notable contribution in sector development.

Hitesh has led and supported several organisation-wide transformation programmes for power transmission and distribution utilities. These programmes helped utilities in improving operational efficiency, enhancing financial viability, developing human resources and enhancing customer services. He always focused on ensuring sustained outcomes and creating value to stakeholders. Hitesh also contributed to training and capacity building of hundreds of power utility officials on contemporary topics. Hitesh is a regular speaker at national and international conferences / seminars.

Hitesh has led development of several technology solutions for power transmission and distribution utilities. Implementations of these solutions have helped several utilities in reducing losses, optimising electricity cost, attracting investments, strengthening grid reliability, improving operational efficiency, facilitating power market development and enhancing regulatory compliance.

Hitesh has been supporting Japanese government, utilities and corporates in exploring opportunities for Japanese investments in India and expanding trade between Japan and India. His activities have contributed in building positive sentiments about Indian market and realisation of investments.
