This all started with him being scolded by his elder brother and dad for wasting his hours on providing vital information of supermarket business like how to start, customer acquisition strategies etc. to the never ending seekers and people who wanted to start their supermarket. The people who needed this information were increasing day by day and informal meeting duration were also consistently growing from minutes to hours resulting in hampering his own business but at the same time many people also got benefitted with this knowledge. His Dad and Brother told him not to waste his time like that.
But the very next day a new person arrived asking for help in opening his supermarket. But this time Gulshan was reserved and reluctant to spare any time for him. The person felt something odd because he had heard completely different about Gulshan. After some time in the discussion, the person directly asked Gulshan about his reluctance. Gulshan also described the whole scenario. After listening to the entire thing, that very person suggested Gulshan to charge for his advices and to make it a profession. And this is how Namaste Business Advisory (NBA) is born.
Gulshan was always passionate about the retail business. The knowledge of grocery was inherited by him from his 2 generations old Kirana store. He was 11 when he started sitting on the store. Supermarket was a natural step to take forward the family owned business. It is easier said than done. Family was afraid to take this step forward; he also went through all those mixed feeling and lot more troubles while entering into the modern trade of supermarket business. His passion for retail pushed him towards research, finding managing techniques and finally he gathered all the necessary ingredients to run a successful supermarket model. Soon 1st supermarket turned into 2 and 3rd one is on its way. From that time only he decided that he will take his soul out to help those people who want to start their own Modern Retail Store (Supermarket & Hypermarket). He says ‘anybody need not go through the same botheration which I have gone through’.

Today NBA has helped established stores in almost every state of the country. NBA has setup more than 100 store in a Corona Dominated year. Gushan has worked over more than 4 Lakh sq.ft areas. He has not only helped people in setting up their supermarkets but also helped many existing supermarket with his post opening consultation services and insights. Gulshan says ‘India has a potential to grow its retails beyond imagination, we can create wonders and we can do even better that the western world did with its retail’.
