Over the span of his commendable career, Gaurav Sarin has assisted many multinational companies across sectors in establishing their presence in India. He has been advising clients in structuring private equity investments, joint ventures, merger & acquisitions, corporate restructuring, conducting legal due diligences, foreign equity participation including their regulatory aspects. He has vast experience of drafting a variety of commercial agreements.

Gaurav has been advising international & domestic clients on the aspects relating to cross border acquisition of companies (in-bound investment) and provided legal support in obtaining foreign investment approval from the Government of India.

Gaurav has also advised companies on e-commerce and data privacy laws in implementing a legally compliant structure for undertaking business activities through e-commerce platforms in India including drafting of commercial contracts for e-commerce platforms.

Gaurav has advised telecom and information technology companies in the areas of wireless technology, other service provider (OSP) registrations for IT and ITeS entities, licensing, and regulatory aspects of STPI. He has also advised on safety and certification, environment protection and waste disposal, energy efficiency, product labelling and packaging laws for electronic and other products.

Gaurav has wide experience in the field of intellectual property laws, drafting and filing trademarks and copyrights applications including infringement prosecution.

In addition to having vast experience in the corporate side, Gaurav regularly appears before various courts in civil & criminal litigation matters across the country. He argues cases before the Supreme Court of India, Delhi and other State High Courts, District Courts. Gaurav has a reported landmark judgment to his credit relating to compensation in Motor Vehicle Accident Claims, which became the basis of change in jurisdiction under the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988.
