He is an inventor and entrepreneur. He graduated in Mechanical Engineering (Dual Degree B.Tech + M.Tech) from IIT Kharagpur, India, and then had a brief stint in the defense space and drone development sector. An interesting turn of events led him to pursue Global Biodesign Fellowship at Stanford University, California where he invented a couple of medical devices for the US healthcare system.
To positively impact healthcare for the underserved people in our society, he came back to his motherland, India, and joined AIIMS Hospital, New Delhi where he started working on air pollution as a SIB Fellow, mentored by Padmashree Prof. Randeep Guleria, Director of AIIMS and co – invented a technology. Thereafter, he co – founded Persapien Innovations and invented technologies under the brand ‘airlens’ to protect citizens from the menace of Air Pollution and have successfully commercialized them, touching more than half a million lives till now. Thereafter to solve the problem of air pollution at the core by targeting it at the very source in the environment itself, he invented ‘Minus2point5(-2.5)’. This invention has won prestigious awards and has been covered by more than the top 25 media houses in India and beyond. His latest invention ‘Airlens Minus Corona’ has been successfully tested and certified by the ICMR lab to effectively destroy the SARS CoV2 virus by harnessing the unique physics of water.
Unlike other methods, this novel technology is a chemical and radiation – free device and is the only technology invented in India that abides by US FDA guidelines of ISO 10993 for biocompatibility, rendering it completely safe for humans and animals. It has also been extensively featured in science media, both nationally as well as internationally. He has won several international innovation awards in the US, UK, France, Singapore, UAE, and India and is associated in different professional capacities with institutes like AIIMS, IIT, Edwards Lifescience US, Megacities ShortDocs France, Pfizer PIDIIP program, etc. Besides, he is actively contributing towards other social causes like education for underprivileged children in North East India and treatment for cancer patients in Delhi.
