Bharat managed to secure funding for ParentCare in the middle of the global pandemic, built a team and partnered with 8 major organizations. His efforts gave NRIs access to doctor appointments, caregivers, lab tests and errands for their parents in India, from miles away. All services are on a single platform and on-demand which saves NRIs the coordination time, stress and costs. 

In 2020, ParentCare has:

1. Served more than 7500 nursing care hours across India, assisting elderly living alone with medical nurse care and care attendant services. 

2. Drastically improved the way homecare service is selected by introducing interviews with the caregivers, background checks and short-term trials. 

3. Provided India’s first elderly care virtual assistant service to arrange tests, food, medicines, oxygen, ambulance and found hospital beds for the elderly infected with Covid-19.

Now ParentCare leverages India’s most used communication platform WhatsApp to create a chatbot that helps NRIs book and manage appointments 24/7.  

Bharat’s previous experience includes rebuilding the Asian business unit of Spain headquartered ‘Omnimedia Publications Group’ as Operations and Strategy Lead. He built a new team, refined the product, and streamlined the operations to create a profitable venture within 3 years. Bharat was also a core team member of TresVista Financial Services, a global financial services company. Launching this from a hotel room with a team of 6, the company reached $1m in revenue and team size of 45 in 2.5 years.
