Having being actively involved in the areas of Health & hygiene, Education, Nature, Skills, Pandemic and Disaster support, Wellness & Donations, Mr. Ashish Kumar, the co-founder of Being Social – Ek Nayi Shuruwat organization, has been actively working for more than 5 years with more than 5200 volunteers across 8 cities of Country namely Delhi, Pune, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bihar, Bangalore and Jaipur. With more than 17 different initiatives, they as an organization have impacted more than 5.7Lakhs lives.
The past two years were full of challenges, testing humanity and its resilience in the toughest way. The team, at Being Social distributed food, necessary items, medicines, PPE kits, sanitary napkins, and many more in India, Nepal, Bahrain, Abu Dhabi.
Their initiative ” Makeover of Sarkari School” recently has transformed 5 government school in Bihar and overall, 16 schools in India. Following their vision, for every child in India to get a good quality education irrespective of their social and economic background, the organization undertook the transformation of Government Schools, so that the children get a healthy environment, increasing their interest leading to increased attendance and decreased absent ratio.
Through their initiative of Skill development, they intend to focus on empowerment of economically weak section of the society, by training them in vocational skills like beautician course, stitching, small business investment, cooking, to make a living for themselves. The organization also identifies talent in a child, nourish them further and give them opportunities or a platform to fulfil their dreams.
Another initiative that the organization focuses is that on breaking the myths of society is “Carefree Laado- Menstrual hygiene and awareness” where they raise awareness and management among adolescent girls/women on Menstrual Hygiene and encourage discussion and impart knowledge and education on this topic.
Our volunteers conducted online & offline sessions for over 7800 girls to educate them correctly about Menstruation and related practices. Sanitary napkins and undergarments were distributed to more than 27000 underprivileged girls.
