Bio and Achievements – Arjun Vijayanarayanan
Arjun Vijayanarayanan is an aviation/aerospace industry professional with a decade of work experience in design, integration, certification and project management from companies such as Boeing, Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation, GDC Technics and Viasat, Inc. Arjun currently works at Viasat, Inc as an Aircraft Integration and Certification Project Engineer integrating Viasat in-flight entertainment and connectivity equipment for satellite communications, high speed internet and in-flight entertainment on commercial, business and VVIP aircraft.
Arjun has an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from Anna University (Chennai) and two Master of Science degrees in Aerospace Engineering and Human Factors & Systems from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Florida. Originally from Chennai, India, Arjun completed his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Anna University.
Apart from his full-time job, Arjun is the Co-founder and CEO of Adhyaapan – an ed-tech organization catering to all students across India, between grades 8-12. Aligning with India’s National Education Policy 2020, the mission of Adhyaapan is to complement teachers’ pedagogical initiatives with a holistic real-life application-based learning and nurture awareness about various career roles amongst students through the applications of various curriculum concepts. student career awareness, within and beyond STEAM. Adhyaapan digital learning platform will accommodate much more than just careers, delving into life skills such as like sex education, financial literacy, nature/environment/wildlife conservation and introduction to entrepreneurship etc.
Arjun is also a member of board of directors of Aviation Community Foundation and works as a career development mentor/technical advisor at organizations such as SpaceKidz India, Brahmastra Aerospace Systems, The Vimana, Mentor Kart, Intercell and Promises2Kids foundation etc.
Being highly patriotic, Arjun strives to give back to India through education and mentoring. Adhyaapan platform will be available for millions of students across India and beyond to kindle their curiosity to learn better, be innovative and make good career decisions.
