Born on 13 October 1984 Anurag Banerjee is an award-winning author, researcher, biographer, poet, translator and philanthropist who has authored more than two hundred research papers which have been published in various anthologies and journals of great repute and written/edited thirteen books in English and Bengali. At the age of twenty, he penned a comprehensive biography of Dilip Kumar Roy in Bengali entitled Achinpather Divyapathik, thus earned the acclaim of being the youngest Indian to pen a well-researched biography. Another landmark of his career was the translation of one hundred English poems of Sri Aurobindo into Bengali entitled Debotar Shrom which he did when he was twenty one years of age.

Noted scholar and author Dr. Prema Nandakumar has commented about the role played by Anurag Banerjee vis-à-vis Overman Foundation in the field of research: ‘Anurag has shaped the Overman Foundation as a larger but integral unit of remembering, serving and moving forward to the tune of the Rishi-Yogi heritage of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother..I know that Anurag’s industrious nature would ever be tuned towards achieving the best.  It is not easy to build institutions… But, Anurag has been patient and we are the beneficiaries.’

Paris-based author Padma Shri Dr. Prithwindra Mukherjee has observed about Overman Foundation: ‘Overman Foundation renews a permanent invitation to accept and share the future becoming of mankind in the light of an epiphany as viewed and experienced by ancient seers of noble Bharatvarsha.’
