Amitava, born in 1969, in Durgapur, West Bengal, India, studied chemistry honours in Durgapur Government College, and carried out his Bachelor of Engineering (Metallurgical Engineering) from NIT, Durgapur and Masters of Engineering (Industrial Metallurgy) from Jadavpur University, Kolkata. He is a member of Royal Society of Chemistry, UK and active member of organizing events of IUPAC in India.
He attended “International Conference for manufacturing” for his work on Glass metal hermetic sealing, held in Dhaka, Bangladesh. He the author of “Comprehensive organic Chemistry” and has lecture videos published by the Tatas (TCS Ion) and Udemy digital platforms Globally.
Since last more than 5 years he has been into research in antimicrobial compositions and filed patents in India, International and in USA. Out of his several antimicrobial compositions the few of them have been found to be extremely safe for human, efficacious against SARS-CoV-2, other microbes including Black fungus and Antibiotic resistant bacteria with longer shelf life.
He has won the Indian Achievers’ award in 2021 for contribution to the nation and he has been given grant by DSIR, Govt. of India, acknowledged by ICMR, the highest approving authority in Medical Sciences in India. All his works have been validated by DRDE, CSIR, DBT, NABL accredited Laboratories in India.
Animal trials and corresponding shelf life data have been derived from Globally approved test procedure from CROs with Good Laboratory Practices.
He has tied up with GMP facilities in India to manufacture the health care and hygiene products through the company MASAA Innovation Pvt. Ltd, India & MASAA Innovation International Inc, USA.
