He has repatriated back to India with an objective to create an enterprise in the Electric Vehicles / Mobility Solutions space. As CEO of AR Autotrade Pvt Ltd, Akshay is at the helm of affairs in developing and launching a complete range of Electric two wheelers which will be marketed in Indian as well International Markets. He firmly believes that this is the need of the hour and the way forward to a brighter future where our generations will be able to breath fresh air. 

Akshay has also been appointed as Vice President of Autoflipz where he is responsible for AutoFlipz’s strategic tie-ups with the leading stakeholders in the Automotive Component Industry, Company’s expansion across India and establishing Autoflipz as India’s most trusted Automotive Aftermarket Brand. Akshay says, “At AutoFlipz, Technology, trust and transparency are the three factors I will be focusing on to drive its growth”.

He holds a post-graduation in Business Management and specialisation in Export Marketing from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade and has over 26 years of experience in steering Business growth for Multiple companies.In his previous role as Business Head – Renault at SBA, Akshay established Renault Brand in Oman and moved the Brand from 38th position to 9th position.

He received The Champion Importer Award from Groupe Renault and was also felicitated for achieving highest growth in the region in 2018, when the markets were down and Industry growth was negative. 

At TATA, he was part of the core team which merged Tata Finance Ltd with Tata Motors Ltd and created Tata Motors Finance Ltd. He along with his team developed Passenger Car Business for Tata Motors Finance Ltd and increased the business size from 150 crores to 2000 crores annually within a span of three years. 

He was awarded with the Best Business Leader Award by Gallup while working with Tata Motors Ltd. He also conducted research on the Indian Used Vehicle Market with BCG and established Used Vehicle Finance & Refurbishment Business for Tata Motors Finance Ltd and Tata Capital Ltd.

He was also a member of the Founder Committee of Tata Capital Ltd. Additionally, during his tenure with Hyundai Motor India Ltd., he received the All India Best Sales Associate Award.

Talking about his personal interests, Akshay is an avid reader and writer. He also loves to Act on various platforms. He did his acting debut with Amitabh Bachhan in the film Bhoothnath and has taken a few film making assignments during his free time.
