Dr. R. Rajan is an Industry Professional with an overall experience of 27 years from a wider cross section of industries such as, Health Care, Banking and Financial Services & Insurance, Software Development, IT Infrastructure Management, Information Technology Networking solutions and Automobile Manufacturing. He is currently working as a Group Chief Information Security Officer at Kauvery Group of Hospitals. He has been a visiting Professor for BITS, PILANI teaching M.Tech Software Engineering students.
His positions include Group Chief Technology Officer for Cura Health Care and it’s allied entities, (A Medical Devices Design and Manufacturing company), Chief Executive Officer at Cherrytec Intelisolve Ltd., (IT Solutions provider in India and Middle East), Chief Information Security Officer and Chief Data Privacy Officer at Thinksoft Global Services Ltd, (a Software Testing Organization for Banking and Financial Services), Head of Technology for Apcom Group of companies (Networking, BPO and KPO) and Strategic Business Unit Head with TVS Group of companies (Managed the Manufacturing unit for defense segment – P&L Responsibility).
He is a proud winner of Top 1000 CIO Award in APAC Region for the leadership contribution in Digital Transformation, India’s Top 100 Defenders Award for his dedication and Leadership Capabilities in securing Information Assets, and Samurai Leadership Award for outstanding contribution to InfoSec domain for Indian Industries. . He was recognised with the Best Alumnus Award for his Academic Excellence and contribution to the society. In recognizing his splendid services in upbringing human resource development he has been conferred with the coveted Karma Veer Chakra (KVC) by Indian Confederation of Non-Governmental Organizations (iCONGO), New Delhi, India. His innovation, ‘The COMPASS’, an automated compliance management system has received Gold and Platinum Awards from NQCI. He has received “SAMURAI LEADERSHIP AWARD” for his great contribution to Quality and information Security initiatives in BFSI sectors. He was awarded, ‘Outstanding Technologist and Researcher’ and Entrepreneurial Excellence Award’ by NFED.
His professional qualification includes Doctorate in Technology Management, from Saveetha Institute of Medical & Technical Sciences, M.S from BITS Pilani and MBA from Thiagarajar School of Management. His Technical Certification includes Six Sigma Master Black Belt from Omnex, U.S.A, Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) from U.S.A and Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH). He is a qualified Lead Auditor for Quality Management System, Information Security Management System and Business Continuity Management System.
