During her graduate studies at Univ. of Delaware, she received the “Pincus Award” from the Federation of American Society for Experimental Biology (FASEB) and a Travel award sponsoring her paper presentation at the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (ASBMB) Conference in San Diego, California. Her scientific research papers have been published in prestigious international journals like Nature Genetics, Bioresource Technology and Journal of Biochemistry (JBC).

Today she is the proud Founder & Director of Aidez Labs Pvt. Ltd., that provides a platform for realizing her ideas & dreams that she was not able to achieve while being employed. One of her recent ventures, under the brand name “Lettuce ‘N’ Choy”, saw her transition into a role of Urban-farmer, implementing the farm-to-fork concept, with minimal-to-no external influences on the product. She controls the entire closed loop eco-system in the hydroponic farm, from germination of the plant to its packaging into a ready-to-eat salad or fresh-produce-bags, thus guaranteeing daily delivery of high quality, freshly harvested, pesticide-free lettuce & other exotic vegetables. 

Customer satisfaction in terms of both product quality and service delivery are extremely important to her. Even during the pandemic that hit just one year after the farm became operational, she was able to succeed & sustain operations, retain employees, and even provide new employment to those who lost jobs or were unpaid for several months. This was possible not only due to her out-of-the-box thinking, robust work ethic, fortitude and perseverance, but also her empathetic approach towards everybody around her. The promise to keep paying her employees as long as it takes drove her to make key changes to the operations of the farm and keep it functional when her biggest clientele, the restaurants, were closed during the lockdown. The change in business strategy resulted in introduction of new products which helped in completely changing the customer base from restaurants to retail customers and in finally implementing the farm-to-fork concept that she had envisioned from the beginning. 

Her continuous learning mindset and her ability to apply her experience from her scientific background, in both academic and industrial research in Biotech and GMP laboratories, to her current venture has contributed largely to her success. Aidez Labs is also working on other projects that are in progress like manufacturing of Automatic Dishwasher detergent & additives under the brand name “ClearAll”, which is also an opportunity generated during the pandemic.
