He has completed research projects funded by University Grant Commission (UGC), AICTE- TEQIP and DST-BRICS. He is a member of Indian Chemical Society, American Chemical Society, and Indian Society for Technical Education, Indian Science Congress Association and Fellow of Telangana Academy of Sciences. His areas of research interest include Synthetic & Co-ordination chemistry and Medicinal Chemistry. He has 165 research publications in reputed national and international Journals of Chemistry & Allied areas to his credit. He also presented his research findings at various national and international conferences, seminars and symposia.

 He served as Head, Department of Chemistry, Chairman, Board of Studies for Chemistry,; University Placement officer and Director, University Industry Interaction Centre at JNTUH. He has been a Member of  CFE, Telangana State Pollution Control Board ,ZO,RCP,  Council member, Indian Chemical Society, (2008-16 &2020-22); Member, Board of Associate Editors of Journal of the Indian Chemical Society, (2003 -2006 & 2014-2016). He has organized several Seminars, Workshops, Refresher courses and Job Fairs for the benefit of Students and Faculty. He has been a Governing Body Member and Academic Council Member of various UGC Autonomous Science, Engineering &Pharmacy Colleges.

He is also the recipient of “State Meritorious Teacher Award” from Government of Telangana, “Adarsh Vidya Saraswati Rashtriya Puraskar” from Global Management Council, and “Teaching Excellence award” from the Indus Foundation Inc., 

Dr. Reddy obtained his B.Sc (Chemistry)., from Kakatiya University, Warangal, M.Sc. Chemistry, from Osmania University, M.Phil., Chemistry from University of Hyderabad and Ph.D. Chemistry, from Osmania University, Hyderabad.
