Doing private practice in Delhi was not a soul satisfying experience so she went ahead and joined an NGO called Savera Foundation. There for the first time she realized about the patient-doctor gap and how access to Health and correct Health related information was a challenge for the Indian population of which more than 60 % is under the poverty line. The most neglected section of the society is the women. She took it upon herself to set the Gynaecology OPD in the slums’ health centres.

The women were pleased that they had a Lady doctor to discuss their intimate health related queries and problems. 100-150 female patients were given medical help on a daily basis. They organized Health Checkup camps and Family planning Education & awareness orientation programs. Since their Health Centre became an attractive Hub for women in the slums, it soon paved the way for women empowerment when stitching, salon and grooming classes too were organized.

Health awareness had to spread to the masses, with this in mind she joined myUpchar.com .It is a telemedicine platform. Using social media as her strength, her team and she began to do teleconsultations for people all over India. Now access to healthcare was available to Tier 2 and 3 towns and remote villages. She began to create patient related information YouTube videos on women health. The channel has about 3.5 M subscribers and the women health videos have more than a million views each .She also got the opportunity to answer their queries on weekly Facebook and YouTube live sessions .

When the world was struck by the Covid pandemic in 2020,she started the Telemedicine service reaching out to the Covid as well as non Covid patients nation wide doing nearly 1 million consultations in a month through the myupchar platform as the Head Medical Affairs.

For a larger part of her professional life, she has been the India Coordinator of postpartum Support International (USA).As part of this profile she has supported and counselled women undergoing postpartum depression and anxiety both in India and abroad.

At present she is the COO and Head Medical affairs of Viveo Health. It is a global Telehealth company with an aim to provide access to healthcare to one Billion people by 2025.Viveo Health has been selected for Mastercard Lighthouse MASSIV program which is going to help Viveo Health achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals

She am delighted to be awarded the prestigious Indian Achiever’s Awards for Excellence in Healthcare for her contribution in the field of Women Health and Health and incorporating it with the upcoming concept of Telemedicine so as to allow access to quality Healthcare even in the most remote areas remote areas of our diverse country.
