Earlier he worked as Chief Technology Officer for Punjab State Government and was responsible to bring digital transformation in the state of Punjab. There he was a part of Smart City, Cova Mobile App, DBT, Smart Card Solution, Data exchange platform etc. Cova Mobile app is used by 6 Million Citizen of Punjab. This app helps in Covid related information, hospital management, curfew passes, chat bot, contact tracing, mandi board passes, supply chain management. Code is shared with many other state also. Dashboard is prepared which was helping in Covid Management operation. Smart City Centralized design help in Multi Crore saving for State. Concept of Single Citizen Card, Enterprise Architecture and Many other design solution implemented which was helping in Providing Citizen Services via Sewa Kendra.
Prior to that, he worked as Chief Information Officer for CMS Infosystem where he looked after Enterprise Architecture for 75000 ATM, 45000 Retail Cash Business, Processing 15 M Credit and Debit personalization Service. Designed new platform which could take care of daily Rs 3000 Crore cash and serving various reconciliation reports to bank. Launched mobility for 20000 Field Force, converted paper based operation to Paperless Operation. Multiple Automation Projects is implemented like Indent (30000 Daily) Automation, Risk Query (30000 Risk Query Per Month), MIS Automation, Inventory Management linked with ERP for 75 K ATM. Various Analytics solution were implemented.

He also worked as Head of Technology for Allied Blenders which is a Rs 10000 Crore worth Manufacturing Group, running IT process for 55 Manufacturing Plant across India. Manufacturing liquor like Office Choice Whiskey, (40 M Cases Per Annum) and Many Other brands. Implemented various Module of SAP – MM, SD, FICO, PP, QM, BPC, APO, Fiory, Success Factor, lumira, design Studio and transform company from XLS based operation to complete SAP Based operation, which was integrated with secondary sales software and Sales Force solution.
Ashish gained brief exposure into retail industry with his stints in Reliance Retail as VP-IT and Future Group as National Head IT – where he was responsible for 10000 POS system operation running across Various Retail Project. In this he implemented SAP CRM 7.0, WMS, Mobile Point of Sales Solution, Vistex Contract Management. He was driving Strategic transformation at Reliance for Reliance Retail for Business Transformation Project. He implemented BMC Automation Tool for various automation Projects, which given Robust Infrastructure solution to running large scale Retail operation of 2000 Retail Stores.

He also helped media houses like Times Group and Midday Group in setting up Radio Station and ERP implementation. He implemented Radio Mirchi and Radio One Radio Station which include Radio Automation Software, Studio & Transmitter site setup, IVRS, Telos, Sound System and various Broadcasting Technology. He implemented Future TV for instore Television Network for Retail Stores of Future Group. He was part of implementing ERP solution like SAP in Times and MS Navision in Midday Group. 

In his career he received many awards like Covid-19 Super CIO Hero 2020, Block Chain Icon – 2019 in CIO Power List 2019 via Core Media, Innovative CIO Award 2018 via CIO Axis, Digital Innovation Chamption – 2016.

He holds BE Mechanical degree along with MBA in Retail and Media and a Diploma in advance Computing. He is also a certified Amazon Cloud Solution Architect, Agile Scrum Master, Prince2, CEH and ITILv3.
