The development of novel medical devices, multiple original research studies publications in top-ranked journals, and presentations at international conferences summarize some of Anirudh Joshi’s most influential accomplishments.
Mr. Joshi has served at prestigious institutes like Medtronic Inc. and Arizona State University, in critical research roles, leading the medical devices and electronic products innovation. At Medtronic, he has been instrumental in the development of many innovative medical devices that are being used globally to deliver treatment therapy and for the improvement of healthcare. Mr. Joshi developed and qualified customized antennas and inductors for usage in Pacemakers and Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy devices for the treatment of heart diseases. He through his subject matter expertise in electronic component selections and Surface Mount Technology Manufacturing Line Qualification has played a pivotal role in the successful manufacturing of Continuous Glucose Monitoring devices and Insulin delivery pumps that are needed for the treatment of Diabetes. Mr. Joshi along with his team also worked on the development of Symptomatic Benign Thyroid Nodules treatment for benign thyroid nodules which are surgically untreatable.
Mr. Joshi as part of his research studies pioneered the development of an innovative non-invasive heart monitoring device that is capable of monitoring heart health and immediately notifying medical staff in the event of an adverse health event, as well as identifying the level of emergency. The Non-Contact Type Pulse Oximeter innovation by him offered reliable pulse oximeter readings without requiring contact with the skin. This work represents a breakthrough in clinical care by offering a modern way to monitor patient vital signs while minimizing patient pain.
Mr. Joshi’s wide range of judging work demonstrates his standing as a scholar, as his experience has been sought to judge a wide range of science ventures and several research publications in scientific journals. He has won several important awards with some of them being the Long-Term Achievers’ award, Best Research Paper award, and International Achievers’ Award.
