Dream Equal is a revolutionary youth-led organization that aims to tackle gender inequality in ways no one has ever done before. The organization’s three pillars are empowerment, advocacy, and education. Shreya strongly believes in Dream Equal’s mission of empowering people from all walks of life regardless of their gender.

Shreya originally joined as the Director of Finance and oversaw donor relations, grant writing, and fundraising. In 2020, Shreya also became the South Asia Regional Leader, and she currently leads Dream Equal’s chapters in this region. She helps members plan and run workshops to help eradicate gender stereotypes.

Members of the organization endeavor to empower children to become competent young leaders who are sure about their goals and dreams. Shreya wishes to work to advance a more gender-sensitive education system and world. She hopes to help solve three problems: unaddressed populations, reactionary approaches, and generic blanket solutions. As organizations get bigger, identical resources are utilized across nations and demographics to attain gender equity. Dream Equal understands that these formulae disregard the cultural differences within and between communities. Hence, Shreya aims to take these factors into account when combatting gender inequity.

Dream Equal currently has 39 chapters globally, is present in 18 countries, and has 700+ members globally.
