Ms Guna Thantry, is a chartered accountant with experience of 25 years and has worked for various organisations like Hewlett Packard, SAP Consulting, Citrix, Expleo and now working as CFO in Schenck Process for the past eight years. She has experience in building finance team for organisations and putting up processes that will assist the organisations scale. She has trained Operation and Business managers in appreciating financial statements and understanding financial reports; In addition, her journey in managing has given her opportunities to manage cross functional teams like HR, IT and cross regional teams at SAP and in Schenck Process.

Her quest for learning and creating excellence around her has given her strength to overcome multiple challenges during her early years. She self-funded her education by working full time after her 12^th standard for two years and then completed her graduation. Thereafter, she worked for six months and gained admission to pursue Chartered Accountant course with Deloitte in Bangalore in 1992. She qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1995.

During her career, she has developed finance team in all the organizations and introduced processes to scale. Combined finance organisations for entities working under same group for organisations like Citrix, Expleo (formerly known as Assystem), Schenck Process. She has experience in management of working capital and funding capex requirement including finding suitable facilities for expansion in India and outside India (Argentina, Hungary and in Dalian while working in SAP). Her quest for excellence and rooting out inefficiencies in internal processes has given more than satisfactory results in all the organisations she has worked for.

She is part of Rotary International (Rotary.org) a voluntary service organisation for the past 20 years. She has participated in various events that increases professional knowledge across Industries and contributed to the various uplifting programmes which Rotary organises including eradication of Polio, Happy Schools, Scholarships to the deserving students, Vision care centres etc., She truly believes that all are born equal, it is our duty to create opportunities to bring out the talent of every individual!

She participates in giving timely and constant feedback to various ministries including finance, commerce ministry focusing on ease to do business. Currently, she works as CFO for Schenck Process India. Schenck Process is a German MNC, which is into providing solutions to customers on weighing, feeding, conveying, classifying, material handling pulverising in Industries like Cement, Steel, Mining, Food, Chemicals and Plastics. It provides engineering solutions and manufacture the equipment at their factories located in Bengaluru and in Gurgaon.

She is a lady with optimistic approach and always finds a way to turn around any situation to an opportunity! She hopes to contribute to the people around her in creating excellent business environment, bring in entrepreneur mindsets to the youngsters! Young India should be a robust India!
