She began her journey in the fashion industry after a short stint as a support to her husband’s business where she assisted in handling the finances of the company. But soon she expressed her desire to work in the fashion industry. And after completing a 2- year Diploma in Fashion Design and Technology from the Stenodec Institute of Professional education, she along with her prior experience in business helped her launch her own Label Thiana.

Her first international fashion week appearance was at the Bay 15 resort in Goa, where she presented her collection ‘Expressions’. In her next collection, ‘Serene,’ she showcased beautiful catholic bridal wear inspired by brides’ thoughts. Mrs. Mehta has also presented her collection in Goa Tourism Department’s even ‘Grape escapade’ which was the collection of partywear and cocktail gowns. Few other fashion shows where her collection has graced the ramp include wild orchid international fashion week season 1 in bay 15 resort, wild orchid international fashion week season 2 in Vivanta by taj, Grapescapade fashion event by Goa tourism, India beach fashion week at JW Marriot, Titos club fashion event at Asia’s renowned club Titos. One of her collections was even covered by the FTV International channel.

Some of her prestigious work include Dress design for the staff of Planet Bollywood in 2018, Vibrant Goa global expo and summit – designed dresses for the organizing committee, and Kezia Caldeira – Miss goa, queen of the cities of the world. Mrs Mehta believes that “if you are passionate about something and dedicated to achieving then the sky is the only limit for you”.
