Dedication to human rights made Vishal Daftuar the “messiah of the poor”

Vishal Ranjan Daftuar, HRUF chairman and eminent international human rights activist, honour by the Honorable Chief Justice of India and many other eminent personalities, says that putting a smile on the face of the needy is actually the biggest award. It is worth mentioning that he received the Gold Medal in 1999, in 2000 Human Rights Millennium Award and World Human Rights Promotion Award in 2001. Human rights activist Vishal Daftuar has been active in the field of human rights for the last 25 years.

Where the government and its government machinery ignores the poor and needy. From there begins the meaningful-successful and quick initiative of Vishal Daftuar.

Like “Maharishi Dadhichi” he has devoted his whole life in public welfare and helping the needy.

His initiative in helping the needy and human rights protection has received special support from the President of India, the Chief Justice of India, the Prime Minister, the National Human Rights Commission, several Union Ministers and the Chief Minister of many states, including the Prime Minister of Bangladesh at the international level.

In 2016, he had sent a letter to Hon’ble Supreme Court of India’s then Chief Justice TS Thakur against the ban imposed by the NGT on sand mining in Bihar.His letter was converted into a PIL by Justice Thakur. It has been a very meaningful, successful and quick human effort of the office.

It is worth mentioning that Manoj Singh Tomar had received seven bullets in the Naxal attack of Chhattisgarh in 2016 and half of his stomach had come out. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan took immediate action in this matter on the letter of human rights activist Vishal Daftuar. The then DG of CRPF, Rajiv Rai Bhatnagar, then spoke to Vishal Datuar on the phone and presented the CRPF side and later also sent the information through email.

After the intervention of the President’s Secretariat on his letter sent to Hon’ble President Ram Nath Kovind in the train accident during Dussehra Mela in Amritsar in 2018, the Railways investigated the matter and provided the investigation report to Vishal Daftuar

The current Secretary General of the National Human Rights Commission, Hon’ble Vimbadhar Pradhan has also called and praised the work of human rights activist Vishal Ranjan Daftuar. The evaluation of his human rights work by the National Human Rights Commission, New Delhi is a proud achievement.

June 2019 With the inspiration of the current President Ram Nath Kovind, he founded the Human Rights Umbrella Foundation – HRUF. He is its Founder Chairman.

Four successful historic international missions of HRUF under the leadership of Vishal Datuar-

1) Soon after the establishment of HRUF, its first tremendous mission started. Very poor and mentally ill Satish Choudhary of Darbhanga, Bihar was repatriated after 11 years from Bangladesh jail on 12 September 2019. This very poignant In this case, his family was tired of visiting the Janata Darbar of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and other government offices had given up hope. HRUF Chairman Vishal Ranjan Daftuar took prompt action on his request. On the instructions of the Government of Bangladesh, Bangladesh Guards gave a warm welcome to the HRUF chairman on the international border.

2) Soon after this, under the leadership of HRUF chairman, Anil Kumar Singh of Ballia, Uttar Pradesh was repatriated. One of his brothers is in the Indian Army and one brother is serving in the Indian Air Force. After getting tired from everywhere, he sent an application to HRUF Chairman.

3) This is the biggest international achievement of HRUF Chairman & Human Rights Activist Vishal Daftuar. On October 24, 2020, the Bangladeshi woman Savera Begum, who was living in a shelter home in Bihar for the last five years, was repatriated at the time of Eid.In this international case, the Bangladesh government sent a letter to Vishal Daftuar giving all the responsibility of coordination. The copy of the letter sent to Vishal Daftuar was sent to the Secretary External Affairs and Home Affairs,New Delhi. It was an unexpected and surprising responsibility that the government of each other country Gave it. Not only this, after the loss of Sabera Begum’s passport, her photo, signature and thumb impression were attested on the travel permit provided to her in lieu of it. The Bangladesh government also gave the authority to do this to HRUF Chairman Vishal Daftuar. This was a very unprecedented international achievement.

4) Human Rights Umbrella Foundation successfully completed its fourth international mission under the leadership of HRUF Chairman Vishal Daftuar by getting Rajendra Ravidas, landless and Mahadalit from Ustu village in Bihar released from jail in Bangladesh after four years on March 2 this year.
