He was a Consultant and Advisor to Senior leaders, DRDO, & OFs on all matters related to asset readiness and functionality including top management for MRO activities of critical equipment. As head of manufacture/production, quality control of specialized critical combat equipment, he had set right vital factors affecting production, reaching 100% production targets with improved quality, and managing costs well within budget. Besides, he successfully led combat teams in many decisive operations.

Sunil’s educational background includes Ph.D. from BITS Pilani, MTech from IIT Roorkee, B. Tech from JNU, and B.Sc from Kurukshetra University. He has harvested many management degrees, including PGDSCM, PGDIBO, PGDDM, and DDM. In addition, Sunil has undergone 22 short courses at different IITs and IIMs.

Sunil is a prolific author, has 23 publications to his credit as a first author. He conceptualized and came up with a new concept of adaptive and noncyclic preventive maintenance that not only increased availability, but also reduced machine failure and elevated productivity. His paper on Adaptive Maintenance was well accepted and appreciated globally.

As the first CEO of the IITI DRISHTI CPS Foundation, he has played a pivotal role in setting forth various activities and processes. He was consequential in devising the company’s roadmap, thus aiding the organization be equipped for the future. His efforts have been praised by the Department of Science and Technology, the Faculty of IITs, and several others.

For his incessant efforts, he was bestowed with National Talent Search Award by Mumbai University, Scholar Warrior Award by the Indian Army, Chief of Army Staff Commendation Card, Swami Von Maharaj Award by B.R. Ambedkar University, among others
