Sriram Tarikere is a Senior Director and Incident Response Investigations Lead with Alvarez & Marsal’s Global Cyber Risk Services practice based out of New York. Mr. Tarikere focuses on leading multi-disciplinary teams that provide cyber risk, cloud and block chain security advisory, application and network security, cyber incident response, and forensic investigation services to clients globally.
Mr. Tarikere has several years of experience in executing Cyber security and Data Privacy risk assessments (ranging from very detailed ISO 27001/NIST, HIPAA, PCI-DSS & Risk quantification assessments to technical Cloud and Block chain secure design and architecture reviews, Application, and Network security assessments, Penetration Testing and Red Teaming, Threat Hunting and Social Engineering exercises), leading Ransomware Investigations, Cyber Breach Response engagements and acting as a trusted security adviser to organizations, C-Suite and Board of Directors.
Mr. Tarikere has led and executed successful engagements at several of the largest financial firms, banks, and insurance companies in the New York Metro region and throughout the US. He has also worked with most of the Fortune 500 organizations within the field of media, entertainment, hospitality, retail, healthcare, manufacturing, construction, stock exchanges, etc.
Before joining A&M, Mr. Tarikere held a security leadership position at professional services firm Protiviti Inc where he served as the Associate Director of Cybersecurity and Data Privacy. He was responsible for leading projects at several major financial institutions and some of the biggest names in media, entertainment, retail, healthcare, energy, manufacturing, and construction. He was also responsible for managing the Penetration Testing and DFIR (Digital Forensics & Incident Response) labs for Protiviti’s New York office.
Mr. Tarikere is actively involved in several industry organizations like OWASP, Cloud Security Alliance (CSA), ISC2, Payment Card Industry (PCI)and FAIR Institute. He is also on the cybersecurity advisory board at Rutgers University.
Mr. Tarikere earned his Master’s degree in Computer Sciences/Cyber Security from New York University. He also holds Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) certificate from Carnegie Mellon University. He is a CISSP, PCI-QSA, PCIP, GWAPT, GCIH, and ISO 27001 Lead Auditor.
