Mr. Shekhar Babu Puli has 20+ years of industrial experience in the field of Pharmaceutical Packaging Research & Development. Currently he is working as, the Head – Packaging Development at MSN Laboratories. He holds a Master degree in Pharmaceutical Management and holds a Graduate Diploma in Packaging Technology from Indian institute of packaging (IIP). Prior to MSN Laboratories Pvt Ltd, he was associated with companies like Aurobindo Pharma Limited, Astron Research Limited and Strides Pharma Science Limited.
During his career, he was also a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Packaging and has been involved in evaluation, design, development, optimization and qualifications of packaging components for pharmaceutical dosage forms considering regulatory, ecological, economical & technical aspects with respect to material and machine science.
His skills and strengths made him proficient in wide varieties of dosage forms within pharmaceutical world and has successfully led numerous projects by adapting right packaging solutions.
In his pharma packaging journey, he has won multiple leadership awards and received appreciation from various renowned platforms as “Game Changer of Pharma Packaging”
He has served invaluable contribution to pharma packaging industry through reputed global platforms for various initiatives and made a meaningful contribution for shaping the industry for sustainable and patient centric packaging solutions.
His achievement includes developing Innovative Onco Safe guard for Cytotoxic drug products. The design protects the drug during transportation & handling of cytotoxic drugs and also safeguards the doctors, health care providers and care givers during administration of cytotoxic drugs. “Patient Adherence Child resistant pack” which won India Packaging award for the excellence in the packaging Design, Shapes and Structures and also won “Packaging Team of the Year” award for exhibiting excellent team work and contribution to the industry.
As an expert packaging technologist, he has participated as an esteemed Speaker and addressed various presentations and attended many panel discussions and shared the knowledge, experience and expertise to the pharma packaging industry.
In the field of Packaging, he has designed innovative carton that enhances the patient experience and successfully commercialized. The design got patented and well appreciated for its uniqueness.
He has designed a patient compliance pack which helps the patients to adhere their medication timely and aids the patients to stick to their dosage regimen without missing the prescribed dose.
He is also an expert member of Track and Trace – global serialization requirements and guided the industry for complying the regulations meeting respective implementation timelines.
