An Educator and a Reformer who’s transforming (clean habits) citizen through Sustainable Clean education model of Japan within the primary and the K-12 education system in India, Mr. Raj Adhikary, is improving people’s lives through clean education. He believes it as his life’s mission because clean education builds contributing citizens. Mr. Adhikary brings extensive knowledge and years of experience in addressing to the core education corridor within India on subjects of clean education in line with the guidelines of the clean education mechanism of Japan. This is primarily due to the fact that he brings along with him, 19 years of extensive knowledge, expertise and experience from the quality of life that Japan offers which has its foundation on Japan’s clean education within the Japanese school systems based on Japan’s Kaizen philosophies for which Japan is known worldwide.

To be precise, the clean education comprises of qualities within an individual who processes the knowledge of safety, security, health, hygiene, segregation of waste management, conservation, environment, systematic cooperation and the capacity to respect one other. These are the foundation of Swachhata for building one’s life’s pillars for creating “House Of Life”. He believes that the day when everyone will possess this quality, it will be evident that the country will attain Swachhata. He deeply feels that by embedding, enriching and nurturing these fundamental qualities of clean education in a child’s development throughout the primary and the K-12 education system, it is a stepping stone to attain the basics of sustainable living by an individual to live and share Swachhata in a balanced natural resourceful world.

With great efforts, Mr. Adhikary has authored 15 books on Cleanliness methodologies similar to the methodologies used in Japanese schools and as of now, these books are introduced in 20+ schools in India as a part of the school education throughout the school years, right from Kindergarten to Class 12 to approximately 20000 students. The program is practical in nature with the text books acting as a guidebook and workbook for each student. This is the first of a kind of initiative in India to address Prime Minister of India His Excellency Shri Narendra Modi’s Flagship Mission for India called “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan” which means “Clean India mission”.

Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, he could not work effectively in the schools in India as the schools were largely closed since March of 2020. With the COVID gradually dissipating, he is very hopeful that they, as an organization will be able to implement the programs in the schools in India in 2023. They envision to take this program to 500 schools in India by 2030. If they grow consistently as initially planned, they will be able to reach with the proven Japanese cleanliness programs to more than 35 lacs school students in India by 2030.
