With the advent of tech and personal computers in early 90’s, Mr. Preetham was exposed to Windows DOS which was his first foray into computers. This exposure aroused curiosity in him to understand how these things function, and it was during this time that he decided to pursue Computer Science and Engineering. Post to pursuing Bachelor’s degree, he was catapulted into the front line of technological landscape. He was able to merge both his dreams of being in Tech and Aerospace. The ever-evolving tech landscape meant there were constantly new challenges to face and solve, helping the clients transform their digital ecosystems.

After spending over a decade in Technology Consulting in Aerospace and Automotive sectors especially focused on Manufacturing/Engineering, having understood how the technology and the sector works, he decided that it was about time that he transitioned into more decision-making Executive roles. With this objective in mind, he pursued an MBA in Strategy from the prestigious HEC Paris. However, this move collided with the widespread emergence of the global pandemic COVID-19 which has been particularly tough on Aerospace sector, in fact manufacturing in general. As he completed his MBA, he was very well aware that he was getting into this destabilized ecosystem of Aerospace manufacturing as a Director of Consulting at CGI.

Given his background in Technology and Manufacturing, and immense business-acumen acquired via the MBA, Preetham was ready and well-equipped to tackle this challenge head on. Being on the consulting/services side for more than 17 years, the onus was on him to help the clients on the Aerospace sector to transform and reinvent themselves. He has been an integral part of enabling this transformation across its value chain, i.e., from reinventing the business models to accelerating their digital transformations. On the personal front, He is an avid cricket player and a poet. The sport cricket has played an important role helping him understand key values of leadership such as compassion, motivation, and most importantly the never give-up attitude.

As a poet, inspired by the likes of Kuvempu, the greatest Kannada poet of the 20th century, Mr. Preetham has written a collection of poems in Kannada called “Nanna Hesare Preeti” which was published in the year of 2016. Today, being awarded the Indian Achievers Award 2022, he feels a great sense of achievement and an incredible honor to be among such esteemed company. He firmly believes that he embodies the values of our Incredible country and culture, even in an International context during a difficult time and has shown business acumen and leadership to drive change and make a difference in the corporate world and towards his sector of activity Aerospace and Defense.
