Achiever's Success Story
Service To Humanity Is Service To God!
“Introducing the young and dynamic Mr. Asim Khan who has inspired and impacted several lives. The quintessential and charismatic Mr. Khan’s journey as a Social Work professional began at the tender age of 17 when he joined Bachelor’s in Social Work (BSW) program at the prestigious Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) and continued to do his Master’s in Social Work (MSW) from the same institute. The BSW & MSW courses really helped him understand the society and the importance of well-designed projects and strategic interventions to support communities in overcoming challenges to reap long term benefits.”
Today he proudly acclaims that he never had to leave his “Corporate Job” to serve the society because he chose to work for the society at a very early age. He acquiesces with the fact that it’s all about planning early in ones’ career rather than suddenly waking-up one fine day and deciding to dedicate the rest of your life to society. He believes that “the earlier you join the social work domain, the more people you will serve”.
Gaining on ground experience as a student social worker and working with NGOs helped him during his stint with various corporate as a CSR professional in planning and strategizing companies CSR agenda and activities and connect with all the stakeholders . As a result he became a bridge so that the NGOs can learn from corporate and vice-versa so perceptions can break and they can come together for the larger social good.
His intervention as a CSR professional has been qualitative rather than quantitative. He cherished all his interventions and projects which helped the cancer patients through palliative care, old age, adolescent, Indian athletes, the girl child education while some helped the students to get scholarships and achieve their dream. As a matter of fact, Mr. Asim Khan has become a guiding light and a blessing in disguise for many.
Today, having more than seven years experience of working in the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) domain, when he looks back, he feels happy to have touched a number of lives in a positive manner. He has an indomitable spirit and zeal to continue serving the society which seems to grow every day. Starting his journey as a student of Social Work at TISS to working with NGOs and now working with well known Corporate in the CSR domain at multiple levels, he feels that life has come full circle that never wants to stop.
