Ever heard of the saying,“Technology is best when it brings people together.”Introducing one such personality, who is an apt example to this quote. Versatile entrepreneur Gaurav Saharan is the Founder and CEO of Corpsport Arena. Specialising in multitasking, he is the Co-Founder of Healthtech Startup, a distribution media professional, a world championship Armwrestler and last but not the least FIDE Arena candidate master in chess.
Corpsport Arena is new venture by Gaurav where he envisions to“sportify corporate India”.He is here to establish the importance of sports in the corporate world and is all set to make it big. He exclaimed, “2020 orphaned many businesses due to the Covid-19. It caused losses of both life and livelihoods that has eventually destroyed economies worldwide. Inspite of all the negative news surrounding 2020 , this crisis had a positive side to it as well. It brought mental and physical health in focus like never before. This renewed focus on health led us to work on our venture, CORPSPORT ARENA a Sports platform for corporates.”
He has been a part of corporate world for around 15 years out of his total work life of 22 years. He reveals that he seriously missed sporting action during his corporate stint across various media organisations he worked with. As he reminisces, “Sports was limited to a cricket match on a Saturday once in a while .So I could pursue my passion for active sports in the last 5 years only. During this tenure I pursued my passion for arm wrestling and progressed from a gold medal in Delhi state, bronze medal in Nationals to a position where I had the honour to represent India in the world championship 2019 in Romania. Similarly I actively engaged myself with chess and during the lockdown got my first title of ACM from FIDE,the governing body of chess for international competitions. These achievements convinced me beyond belief that I have to “sportify” corporate India so that the hidden sporting potential within corporates is unlocked.”
