Mr. Gaurav Malik is the Chief Financial Officer at Nucleus Office Parks and has more than 15 years of experience with leading organizations around the globe. Nucleus Office Parks is a fully owned Blackstone Company in India that currently manages an industry-leading portfolio of over 20 million square feet of Grade A commercial office assets spread across all key markets. He is responsible for financial reporting, audit and compliance, planning, treasury, and capital structure. Along with that, he also manages key assets and company acquisitions for the group.
Mr. Gaurav’s professional journey began in the year 2007, wherein he qualified his first attempt as Chartered Accountant and was one of the youngest qualified Chartered Accountants in India qualifying at the age of 22. He started his career with Starwood Hotels & Resorts where he received two promotions in the span of one year. In 2009, he followed his passion and joined the CBC Group in the US where he was leading asset-based examinations and financial due diligence assignments on behalf of major US Banks. He completed around 40 assignments in a span of 3 years. In the year 2015, he joined Trifecta Capital as a Financial Controller and helped set up India’s first Venture Debt Fund under Alternate Investment Framework.
In 2016, Gaurav joined the commercial office platform owned by The Blackstone Group. At Nucleus Office Parks, he is managing finance for a portfolio of over USD 3 billion and has completed fundraising/ financing transactions of over USD 1.3 billion with major public and private sector banks. He is a finance enthusiast who has worked in investor relations and performance management for several years. He is a strong advocate for placing finance-experience personnel in every department of the organization.
