He got involved as Chief Executive of Jhaveri Flexi Pack Pvt. Ltd, a flexible packaging unit. He was an important decision-maker in buying out Flexo Film Wraps, a listed company from Aurangabad and undertaking a successful reverse merger with Jhaveri Flexi Pack Pvt. to create Jhaveri Flexo India Ltd, public limited company in 2007-8 where he became the Executive Director. Joining Umax Packaging, a new packaging venture by the Uma Group of Companies, in 2009 as Joint Managing Director in a record time of 3.5 years he brought largest national and international FMCG giants like Pepsi Co, ITC, Dabur, Nestle as clients.

Atit took over as Director at the Montage Group in 2013 to develop their plastic packaging division and today he has led the Montage Group, a 4000 crore turnover organisation and made its plastic division into a 400 crore plus giant in its space.

Atit’s success mantra is his use of cutting-edge innovation to make little differences and packaging enhancements. In 1998 ,1 kg salt was sold in poly pouches but Atit converted poly pouch into laminate pouches which was 360 degree turn around in salt packaging. This helped him acquire the major salt packaging business of Tata Group under Jhaveri Flexipack. Further, he set-up a cast 5 layer line (CPP) business, totally new for Jhaveri Flexo, which was prominently used for Pepsi Co. and successfully reduced one layer from overall packaging structure of Kurkure thereby directly contributing to cost and environmental benefits. When he joined Montage Group the practise was to use a thicker gauge of paper for printing purpose.

To re-work the model and get them to run on thinner gauge of Polyester and BOPP film was a challenge in the beginning but resulted in great success of the firm. He set up a barrier film printing again from thinner gauge to printing on 90-100 gsm of thicker Nylon films at the most rated speed of each press. Under his leadership all Montage plants are equipped to print anything from paper to pet to nylon barrier films. He made all Montage factories as profit centres delivering strength to strength to their own abilities and aligning them to the larger cause of the Montage Group. He holds rich experience in setting up industries from scratch and turning them into multi million dollar enterprises. It’s with such conviction that Atit Gandhi with tremendous managerial capacities and foresight has become an exemplary business leader in the packaging industry.
