Being in the health sector for almost 20 years, Dr. Jitu Lal Meena aims to provide quality and affordable healthcare services to the common people

Currently Working as a Division Head (SPE) & Joint Director (JD), National Health, Authority – Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY), Govt of India, Dr. Jitu Lal Meena has been working in Quality Healthcare service since 2002 in the public healthcare sector, he has worked as a State Quality Assurance Officer, Government of Gujarat & GM, Hospital Networking and Quality Assurance, National Health, Authority – AB PM-JAY, Govt of India.

Dr. Meena has wide ranging exposure (e.g., from bottom level Primary Health Centre, India to Top level Johns Hopkins University, USA). He has recently come up with new initiatives, with help of QCI for implementation of Bronze, Silver, Gold Quality Certificate, Green Channel Initiative to better performing Hospitals, Lowest query and rejection rate in AB PM-JAY impaneled Hospitals for provide better Quality Healthcare services.

Dr. Meena leads the department to prepare the Quality Standards in Reproductive and Child Health programme (RCH), National Accreditation Standards (NABH) for Primary Healthcare Centre / Community Health Care Centre and National Quality Standards for Public Health facilities. He also leads for awareness of the Quality Healthcare service (NABH / NABL), Swachhata Mission, Kayakalp in public health sector in India.

He aims to Provide Quality and affordable Health Care Service to all and improve the Quality Health Care Service in India. During his leadership numbers of the Govt facilities are accredited as per NABH / NABL and make a history in India and about 27000 Hospitals are empaneled with AB PM-JAY.

Dr. Meena gives the motivation & encouragement for Quality Health care service in Public Healthcare system as well as in private health care service. He is Member of NABH Accreditation Committee, Quality Council of India and Member of Quality Improvement Programme Expert Group, Health and Family Welfare Department, Govt of India.
